Changes to the first class cricket fixture list mean that in 2010 the Festival moves to the first part of August. The four day County Championship match will run Monday-Thursday (rather than Wednesday-Saturday as in recent years). We are fortunate to have been allocated one of the new ECB afternoon limited overs matches, which will be on the Sunday before the start of the County Championship match.
The schedule has been kind to us in that Surrey CCC will play Sussex CCC in both matches. This will give a “Summer holiday local derby” character to the games and we can expect a large public attendance, especially as there is no clash with a Test match this time.
The Surrey Brown Caps will play the Sussex Sharks in the new ECB 40-over League on Sunday, 8th August. Play will commence at 1.45 pm.
Surrey CCC will play Sussex CCC in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship from Monday, 9th August to Thursday, 12th August (four days). Play will commence at 11.00 am each day.
Corporate Hospitality Marquees are available for hire on all five days of the Festival. However, reduced number of Marquees will be available for corporate or public hire on the Sunday, due to the erection of additional public seating.
